Gîte Galileo - La Colle - Haute Provence

One double bedroom, one twin single, large cot, sleeps 4 very comfortably. Well set up for children, Very spacious, Swimming Pool (shared), 30 Hectares of private parkland, garden and outside eating area, countryside surroundings, quite location.

Accessed by it's own private staircase you enter the gîte's principal room which is 50m2 in size (Overall size app. 80m2)

Many people are immediately astounded at the huge original oak beamed suspended roof ! This is a specific type of construction which was practiced over 150 years ago for covering large spaces and is beautifully preserved.

In this principal room we have kept the vastness of the space open, and have separated it into sections, so that the overall look of the room has kept it's original aspect. The additions to this room have been created in an overall "Southern European" style.

The lounging area is ideal for viewing the satellite TV, see one of our videos or just relax and listen to a CD while reading a book from our English/French library, (don't forget to bring some of your favorites CDs)

The American Kitchen is fully equipped for up to eight servings, a four burner gas stove, electric oven, full sized dish washer, three different ways to make coffee, tea pot, small quantity of starter commodities; pepper salt sugar etc..., fridge freezer, pressure cooker, and a range of other helpful items for your convenience.

Welcome pack : Upon your arrival you will find a welcome pack, which we thought you might like to receive after your car journey. The welcome pack consists of : Coffee, Tea, sugar, bread, milk, seasonal fruits and a bottle of local wine. You should however bring with you at least your first days meals, dependent on your expected arrival time.
