So what else can you do in Provence in the Winter? Of course the answer is dependant on what you can do or want to do. However here are just some examples.

Physical: Mountain walking, horse riding, Randonnée this can both be done on horseback or on foot it's the French word for trekking and usually means going for more than one day with a qualified guide on a discovery trip. 4 x 4, cycling road or trail, golf, trial biking, lake sailing, lake canoeing, heated indoor swimming, climbing, hunting, and then of course there are all the physical indoor sports: body performance, dancing, keep fit, judo and other similar martial arts. 

 Recreational: French lessons, French cooking, Fishing, theaters and shows, monasteries and concerts, and of cause a huge amount of sightseeing. I have separated this through the link at the bottom of the page titled Points of Interest (or click here).

Calm and Intellectual: Painting, drawing, writing, computer arts and skills. Many people come to spend a while in Provence to profit from the calm of the surroundings to develop a skill or art. Many books, plays, film and theater scripts have been written here. Not forgetting to mention photography and major works of art.

More recently there has been an influx of computer related people who write programs, develop for web sites or web related activities. The computer environment has grown quickly because of the ease of getting ISND lines for high speed communication. We have two at La Colle.
