Paint Provence with John
Tunstall

John Tunstall has
been painting for more than 50 years. His main medium is
acrylic as he loves
it's portability. He has a very relaxed style and you wont be
overpowered by high brow terms, methods or ways.
He has lived in Brussels, Paris and New York, as well as London, and in all these places has captured some of the locations excitement and ambiance in his paintings.
Below is a small selection of his works.
In Paris, the colour of the buildings is a striking ochre in contrast to the blues reflected in the Seine.
In New York the size and multiple colours of the buildings predominate.
His work showing the pitch of the building on the corner of 3rd and 61st shows two aspects with the airplane con trail providing the link between the two.
On another work; the view down town towards the financial quarter show the Twin Towers in the distance, prior to 9/11.
In Brussels the tram predominates and is the cities work horse and is captured on its way to the leafy suburbs.
The paintings in London, such as that of the Houses of Parliament, are very much Impressionist whereas recent studio works have leant towards the abstract genre.
John will provide the visitors with the opportunity to develop their own style, be it a choice to create something of fine detail, an impression or an abstract based on their own vision of what is before them
John
is a member of the prestigious Guildford Art Society, he often
exhibits in London and his painting regularly sell for over a
£1000.
His
love of life and fun style will help make your learning experience
a pleasant adventure.
